After months of planning, the West Seneca Chamber of Commerce office in the Community Center & Library now has the look and feel of an art gallery with the addition of 12 beautiful works of art from members of the West Seneca Art Society. The artwork was hung by members of the Art Society on Aug. 23.
“The idea came to me awhile ago when I saw artwork from members of the West Seneca Art Society on display in our library,” said Joe Kirchmyer, executive director of the Chamber of Commerce. “I was pleasantly surprised by the incredible talent of these local artists, and had the thought that their artwork would really brighten our office walls. So I reached out to the organization, and the rest is history, as they say.”
The artwork now on display is for sale and will rotate on a seasonal basis. The current exhibit features the work of artists Michael Mrozik, Debbie Terzian, Bernice Smith, Heidi Zanelli, Joe Loffredo and Erin Burke.
The public is invited to view the artwork during Chamber office hours, which are 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. The Community Center & Library is located at 1300 Union Road.
