The West Seneca Chamber of Commerce is currently accepting nominations for its 74th annual Community Awards Dinner. The purpose of this event is to publicly recognize individuals, businesses and organizations that make significant contributions to the quality of life in West Seneca. An awards dinner following social distancing guidelines will take place in February.
Nominations are sought in the following categories:
Citizen of the Year: Nominee must be a resident of West Seneca for the last five years or more who has put forth tremendous effort for the benefit of our community.
Educator of the Year: Minimum of five years of experience in a private or public school within the Town of West Seneca. Teachers, administrators and school board members are eligible for this award.
Business of the Year: In recognition of community/industry leadership, nominees must be in business for a minimum of five years within the Town of West Seneca.
Community Service Organization of the Year: Must be a nonprofit organization based in and serving the Town of West Seneca for a minimum of five years.
A fifth award for Chamber Member of the Year is determined by the West Seneca Chamber of Commerce executive committee. This award will be presented to a deserving West Seneca Chamber of Commerce member (individual or business/organization).
To nominate an individual, business or organization, please mail, email or hand deliver your nominee’s name, address and phone number, along with your name and phone number, to the West Seneca Chamber of Commerce, 1300 Union Road, West Seneca, N.Y. 14224. Please enclose a brief summary describing why this individual, business or organization deserves the award. Nominations will also be accepted by phone by calling the Chamber’s executive director, Joe Kirchmyer, at 674-4900. Nominations will be accepted until 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 9.
