In an effort to assist and help replenish local food pantries, the West Seneca Chamber of Commerce will host a Community Food Drive throughout the month of July.
“Our food pantries are under a lot of strain to meet demand, so we like to help them twice a year with Chamber-sponsored food drives every January and July,” said Joe Kirchmyer, executive director of the West Seneca Chamber of Commerce. “It’s a tradition for us that began during the Covid pandemic and has now become part of our annual calendar of events.”
Unexpired, nonperishable food items and personal care products can be dropped off at the West Seneca Chamber of Commerce office in the West Seneca Community Center & Library, 1300 Union Road, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. To schedule pick-up for larger donations, please contact the Chamber of Commerce at (716) 674-4900.
Secondary drop-off locations for the July food drive will include the GEICO Local Office in the Southgate Plaza, and Western New York Federal Credit Union at 1937 Union Road.
The West Seneca Chamber of Commerce is an independent, nonprofit business organization dedicated to serving the local community. For more information, please visit westseneca.org or follow the Chamber on Facebook for frequent updates.
