A ribbon-cutting to celebrate the opening of the eighth annual West Seneca Farmers’ Market will take place at 3:45 p.m. Thursday, May 13, on the grassy hill at the corner on Union Road and Main Street. The market — offered through a partnership between the Town of West Seneca and the West Seneca Chamber of Commerce — will run from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday evenings from May 13 through Aug. 26, weather permitting. The market is sponsored by Western New York Federal Credit Union.
The following businesses are tentatively slated to participate in the market: West Seneca Chamber of Commerce, Kate’s Country Cousins, Keeping Traditions – Barbie Pierogi, Donna’s Pepper Jelly, My Father’s Fudge, Lilies of the Field, We R Nuts, Kody’s Kettlecorn, Tupperware, Hanzlian’s Sausage, Pet Connection Programs Inc., Lilla Rose Hair Accessories, Designing Masks, Clarity Group of NY, Luv My K9 Collars, Baglio’s Bee Farm, Kate’s Cookies, Alpha Importers, Springbrook Bible Chapter, Sarah’s Soap & Artwork, and Yoga Pants Vodka. Food trucks scheduled to participate include House of Munch, Red’s Hot Dogs, Just Pizza, Cheesy Chick and Buffalo Bros Burgers. Additionally, one or two local nonprofit organizations will also host informational tables each week.
Coronavirus guidelines will be followed. Mask and social distancing requirements will be enforced, vendors will be spaced out throughout the open-air marketplace, and vendors will provide hand sanitizer for guests.
Parking on the hill will be limited to vendors only. Ample free parking is available in the parking lots behind West Seneca Town Hall at 1250 Union Road, and the West Seneca Community Center & Library at 1300 Union Road.
