West Seneca high school music students invited to perform at holiday events

Dec 25, 2015 | Entertainment

The community is taking notice of the talent found in the music departments at West Seneca East and West Senior High Schools, so much so the students and their performing groups have been invited to perform at events around Western New York this holiday season.

The West Senior String Quartet performed holiday tunes and carols for patients, families and staff of the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Buffalo/Rochester at Pettibones Grille the evening of Tuesday, Dec. 8.

On Wednesday, Dec. 16, students from West Senior’s Vocal Jazz performed at the Rotary Club’s Holiday Breakfast.

On Tuesday, Dec. 22, students from West Senior’s String Ensemble and Bel Canto and East Senior’s Chamber Chorus and Orchestra performed at Roswell Park Cancer Institute. This annual concert always has a strong impact on the students and provides a nice respite for the patients, family and staff at Roswell Park.
