WNY Ovarian Cancer Project holding annual Geranium Sale

Apr 27, 2016 | Events

Spring is here! That means it’s time for the WNY Ovarian Cancer Project’s 4th annual Geranium Sale! The proceeds of the sale go toward local services for women with ovarian cancer. The sale is on now through the order deadline of April 28. Pick-up days are Friday, May 6 and Saturday, May 7 at locations in Buffalo, Hamburg, Amherst and the Village of Lewiston.

These bright and beautiful zonal geraniums are perfect for Mother’s Day or your favorite gardener. Colors are Patriot Red, Maestro Pink, Patriot White, Evening Glow Salmon and Hot Pink/Berry Parfait. The group offers special pricing for businesses as well. Orders can be placed online on the organization’s website at www.wnyovariancancerproject.org or by calling 946-6437.

All of the programs and services of the WNY Ovarian Cancer Project are free of charge and funds raised during this annual sales go directly to serve women in WNY with ovarian cancer. These programs include professionally facilitated support groups, and the signature “Comfort & Hope Tote.” These totes are given to women newly diagnosed with ovarian cancer at the time of diagnosis, letting them know that there are others who have gone through the treatments and that they have local support, camaraderie and understanding when it is needed most.

The WNY Ovarian Cancer Project is a nonprofit organization founded  by women who lived with ovarian cancer and have survived to talk about it by educating other women in the 12 counties of Western New York. Their mission is to educate the Western New York community on the symptoms and risks of ovarian cancer, and to provide information, support and networking for women diagnosed with ovarian cancer and their families.
